Short answer
The Employee category in an Offer for Sale (OFS) is a specific category for employees participating in the OFS, conducted on T+1 day alongside the Retail category. When placing bids, employees can select the Employee category. However, they are also permitted to bid in other categories within the applicable limits.
Bidding process
Bidding for employees will be allowed only during trading hours in the retail window, i.e. T+1 day.
Employees are required to place their bids only at the cut-off price on T+1 day.
The allotment price is determined based on the retail category’s cut-off price, subject to any applicable discounts.
Bid and allotment limits
The maximum bid amount for employees is ₹5,00,000.
Each employee is eligible for an equity share allotment up to ₹2,00,000.
In cases of under-subscription in the employee portion, the unsubscribed portion may be allocated proportionately to those employees whose bid exceeds ₹2,00,000, provided that the total allotment to any single employee does not exceed ₹5,00,000.
