# Can a One-Person Company (OPC) open an account with Arrow?

## Short answer

No. You cannot open a **One-Person Company (OPC)** trading or demat account with Arrow / Arrow.

## Why

As per Rule 3(6) of the Companies (Incorporation) Rules, 2014, an OPC cannot carry out Non-Banking Financial Investment activities, including investment in securities.

In line with these regulations, iRage does not allow opening of OPC accounts.

## What you can do instead

If you want to trade or invest through Arrow, consider one of these account types (subject to KYC and eligibility):

| --- | --- |
| Individual (Resident) | Most retail traders |
| HUF | Hindu Undivided Family |
| Partnership / LLP | Registered firms |
| Private Limited / Public Limited | Companies that are **not** OPCs |
| NRI | Non-resident Indians (additional docs) |
