## Short answer

A **Depository Participant (DP) charge** is levied when securities move in your demat account (for example, when you sell shares and they are debited for pay-in).

- **Depository:** CDSL  
- **Depository Participant:** **iRage Broking Services LLP** (product: **Arrow**)

Rates below are from the **Charges for Depository Services** schedule in the Arrow Account Opening Kit. **GST** and other statutory charges apply extra.

## Core demat transaction charges (regular scheme)

| Particular | Rate |
| --- | --- |
| Debit transaction — pay-in to Arrow | **₹20** per transaction |
| Debit transaction — other than Arrow | **₹20** or **0.03%** of transaction value, **whichever is higher** |
| Margin pledge | **₹20** per transaction |
| Pledge creation (other than margin pledge) | **₹30** per transaction |
| Pledge closure | **Nil** |
| Pledge invocation | **₹20** per transaction |

CDSL may also levy a settlement fee (currently referenced in the tariff notes at about **₹3.50** per debit instruction to the DP); such depository fees are passed through as applicable.

## Examples (illustrative)

### Pay-in debit to Arrow

You sell shares and the debit is for pay-in to Arrow:

- DP charge: **₹20** + GST

### Off-market / debit other than Arrow

You transfer securities where the tariff’s “other than Arrow” rate applies, on a transfer valued at ₹1,00,000:

- 0.03% of ₹1,00,000 = ₹30  
- Compared with flat ₹20 → charge is **₹30** + GST (whichever is higher)

### Margin pledge

You pledge holdings toward margin:

- **₹20** + GST per pledge transaction (margin pledge line item)

## Other demat service charges

| Particular | Rate |

| Dematerialisation | ₹150 per certificate + ₹100 courier; rejection ₹100 + ₹100 courier |
| Rematerialisation | ₹150 per 100 securities (or part) **or** ₹150 per certificate, whichever is higher, + ₹100 courier |
| Cheque dishonour | ₹350 |
| DIS booklet (with requisition) | ₹100 per booklet |
| DIS booklet (without requisition) | ₹200 per booklet |
| Modification / client master changes | ₹25 per modification |
| Yearly AMC (individual) | **Nil** |
| Yearly AMC (other than individual) | **₹500** |

## Things to keep in mind

- BSDA accounts may have **Nil** demat transaction charges while they remain within BSDA holding slabs — see [BSDA charges](/account-opening/resident-individual/basic-services-demat-account-bsda-explained-along-with-charges/).
- Charges can be revised by iRage Broking Services LLP (Arrow) and/or the depository with applicable notice.
- Stamp duty on off-market transfers (where consideration is involved) is levied as applicable.
