# What does the error "Maximum quantity per order for Equity is 1,00,000" mean?

> Your orders will be rejected if quantities exceed 1,00,000 when:

## Short answer

Your orders will be rejected if quantities exceed 1,00,000 when:

The market lacks sufficient depth to fulfil the order quantity.

The order would match with more than 10,000 outstanding orders in the market depth.

Using non-regular order types - only regular orders allow quantities above 1,00,000. Iceberg and Cover orders are limited to 1,00,000 quantity under all circumstances.

## How to resolve this error

Reducing order quantity: Place orders with quantities below 1,00,000.

Using the sticky order window: Place multiple orders quickly using the sticky order window feature.

Splitting orders with Iceberg: Break large orders into smaller orders automatically using Iceberg orders.

Creating basket orders: Place multiple orders together using the basket order feature.
