# How do I set up Time-based OTP (TOTP) to log in to Arrow?

## Short answer

You can set up TOTP authentication to secure your Arrow login using external authenticator apps. TOTP generates temporary codes that refresh every 30 seconds, providing enhanced security compared to traditional SMS or email OTPs.

## Supported authenticator apps

You can use any of these apps to generate TOTP codes:

Ente Auth (WEB).

Google® Authenticator available on Google Play (WEB) and App store (WEB).

Microsoft® Authenticator available on Google Play (WEB) and App store (WEB).

Authy available on Google Play (WEB) and App store (WEB).

LastPass Authenticator on App store (WEB).

Bitwarden (WEB).

However, any of the external authenticator applications can be used to generate the TOTP. To avoid using TOTP, enable the device lock.

## Setup methods

TOTP can be enabled in two ways on Arrow web, i.e., from the login page and the profile section. However, on Arrow app, TOTP can only be enabled from the profile section.

## From Arrow web

Visit Arrow.

Click on Forgot user ID or password?

Enter the User ID and PAN.

Select Receive on Email or SMS, enter the email ID and captcha, and click on Reset.

If SMS is selected, enter the OTP received and if Email is selected, click on the reset link received on email to reset the password.

Enter the new password and click on Continue.

Select Method 2: External authenticator and click on Setup TOTP.

Set up an external authenticator such as Authy. To download Authy, visit authy.com/download.

Click on Can’t scan? Copy key.

Set up the TOTP on Authy.

In the Enter the 6 digit app TOTP field, enter the TOTP generated on Authy and click on Continue.

The password will be reset. Click on Login here to continue.

Login to Arrow using TOTP.

## From Arrow app

To enable TOTP from the profile section, follow these steps:

Tap on Client ID.

Tap on Profile.

Tap on Manage.

Tap on Enable external TOTP.

Enter the OTP received on the email and tap on Verify.

Tap on Can’t Scan? Copy the Key.

Enter the TOTP and Arrow log in password.

Tap on Enable.

## From profile section on Arrow web

Login to Arrow.

Click on the Client ID.

Click on My profile / Settings.

Click on Password & Security.

Click on Enable External TOTP.

Enter the OTP received on the email and click on Verify.

Enter the TOTP and Arrow login password.

Click on Enable.

Did you know? The alternative to TOTP is the app code for Arrow web login and Mobile/SMS OTP for Arrow app login.
