# What does the P symbol indicate on the Arrow Holdings page?

> The P symbol shows how many shares you have pledged from your holdings of that stock. The QTY column displays your remaining unpledged shares.

## Short answer

The P symbol shows how many shares you have pledged from your holdings of that stock. The QTY column displays your remaining unpledged shares.

## Example scenario

If you hold 127 RELIANCE shares and pledge 50 of them:

P symbol shows: 50 (pledged quantity)

QTY column shows: 77 (remaining shares available for trading)

Did you know? Pledged stocks can be sold instantly without placing an unpledge request.
