RTAs perform these key functions:

Collect applications from investors for any share issue.

Maintain proper records of applications and money received from investors or paid to security sellers.

Assist companies with:

Determining the basis of allotment of securities in consultation with the stock exchange

Finalising the list of persons entitled to allotment

Processing and dispatching allotment letters, refund orders, certificates, and other related documents for an issue
