# What is a virtual contract note, and how to view it?

## Short answer

A virtual contract note provides an approximation of your trading charges for the day, including brokerage, STT, stamp duty, exchange transaction charges, SEBI turnover charge, and GST. Unlike regular contract notes, it displays order-wise charges for better clarity.

To view a virtual contract note, follow these steps:

Tap on Orders.

Tap on Executed.

Tap on Contract note.

## Things to keep in mind

Virtual contract notes do not show the additional ₹40 brokerage charged when your Arrow account has a negative balance

For NRI and non-individual accounts, the brokerage charges displayed may not reflect the actual rates

For equity trades, the system displays charges associated with equity delivery trades regardless of whether you used MIS or CNC product types. Intraday charges appear only after you square off positions on the same day, whether through CNC or MIS

Virtual contract notes work for up to 500 executed orders. For more than 500 executed orders, refer to the contract note sent to your registered email address

DP charges appear separately on your funds statement, not on the virtual contract note
