# When can I withdraw funds after selling shares or closing positions?

> You can withdraw funds from selling shares or closing positions after T+1 day, once the trades are settled and appear in your withdrawable balance.

## Short answer

You can withdraw funds from selling shares or closing positions after T+1 day, once the trades are settled and appear in your withdrawable balance.

The settlement cycle for all instruments traded on Indian exchanges is T+1 day, where T stands for the trading day. This means you cannot withdraw the proceeds immediately after selling shares or closing F&O positions.

If you sell shares from your holdings or close F&O positions on Friday, you can withdraw the proceeds on Monday evening.
