Short answer
As an NRI, you can invest in equity delivery and trade in F&O (derivatives) via NRO NON-PIS accounts. However, you will face certain restrictions depending on your account type and country of residence.
Trading restrictions by account type
Mutual fund restrictions
If you are an NRI from the USA or Canada, you cannot invest in mutual funds. If you are an NRI from any other country, you can invest in mutual funds if you have an NRI account with Arrow.
Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs)
You cannot buy Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs). However, you can sell existing units or hold them until maturity.
Did you know? You can map both an NRE and an NRO account to your Arrow account. Submit two account opening applications to map both accounts.
